Announcing our 1st Annual Kid's Art Competition

Gallery One has a full slate of art events scheduled for fall ...headed by a brand new art competition for kids. The contest, titled Cold Nose/Warm Art, encourages kids from 4-18 to depict Gallery One's "top dog" in any medium.
Clancy Brown
The gallery "top dog" is Clancy, an 18-pound Lakeland Terrier rescue that has become a Gallery One fixture since his Memorial Day adoption. Officially, Clancy is owned by Gallery One president, Alan Brown.
(At 20-months-old, Clancy spends much of his working hours under the president's desk, often untying his shoes.)
"We plan for this competition to become an annual event," said Brown. "Our goal is to encourage kids to use their imaginations and their talents...and perhaps to become fine artists and/or savvy collectors as adults."
On December 1, famed artist/author Dean Morrissey will judge the competition and award prizes which will include the first annual "Clancy" for best in show plus a variety of gift certificates and ribbons. Information and photographs of Clancy are posted at www.galleryone.com
